Love Waves / Love Your Other Half

Love Waves

“Love Waves” is nothing but the revised version of traditional love sign — a heart. As a feeling, love is a complex phenomena. It shapes our lives in the weird way, it guides us through whatever situation we are in, it evolves and has its powerful dynamics. It’s never mono-colored, or still, or can be drawn using a unicursal technique. Love has its pulse, just like any alive heart. So why don’t show it?

Love Your Other Half: FROM LEFT TO RIGHT “Split” | “Unity” | “Harmony”
We all have our dark selves we try to hide from others. But is it not a part that makes us ourselves?
My name is Kate Stelmashchuk, and I’m emerging Ukrainian photographer and writer currently based in New Jersey. I live in the realm of word-image-sound, which helps me to explore and develop the skills of seeing beauty in its various forms. I love portrait photography (especially black & white), I practice writing under influence (whatever it may be), I adore music (particularly from Motown era).
Love, both to others and oneself, is very complex, confusing, and powerful. It can be colored or monochrome, light or dark, be shapeless or have a very distinctive form. Most importantly, it’s everywhere. These pictures are the results of questioning what love is, what it can possibly be. Of course, they are only the few of million possible answers.
Sincerely,
Kate.
